CONTRACT

We cannot begin to action a site with the supply of gas until we receive either an original or copy of the signed contract or a signed acceptance form.

We will then send a confirmation file through to Xoserve who notifies the relevant transporter that we would like to supply the site. Xoserve will then send a withdrawal notice through to the current supplier to give them the option to either accept or object to the withdrawal of their site.

If the current supplier accepts this withdrawal the site will go live with us on the date we requested.

OBJECTIONS

If the current supplier objects to the withdrawal then we will inform the broker of that customer. We will inform you which supplier is objecting, and the reason why, and ask you to resolve this with the customer and the supplier before we can resubmit another confirmation file.

A supplier can only object if there is any outstanding debt on the account or if they have a valid contract.

An objection period lasts for 7 working days and during this time another confirmation cannot be requested.

If the objecting supplier admits they raised the objection in error they can lift the objection as long as it is within 3 days of placing the objection. If this happens the site will automatically go through for the original proposed date and does not need to be reconfirmed.

LIVE DATES

A site will transfer suppliers after 14 working days of the date at confirmation or up to 30 working days. These dates are set out in the contract governing the operation of the gas industry
